The School Chaplain at Balcatta Primary School supports parents, students and school staff with social and emotional well-being.
Some of the things done by the Chaplain are:
- Breakfast Club Tuesday 8.15am to 8.45am
- Supporting new students
- Supporting families with health, financially and suppling food parcels when needed
- Helping connect families to agencies in the community
Referrals to the Chaplain can come from many areas including directly from parents.
Our Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers (AIEO’s) at Balcatta PS have multiple important roles within the school, delivering planned education programs and encouraging a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our First Nations students. They work closely with students, teachers and families to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultures within our school. AIEO’s provide culturally responsive support to ensure every child feels valued and empowered to achieve their best.
